Dissension within the Troubled NY Knicks

History repeats itself. That's exactly what has transpired with the New York Knicks head coach, Larry Brown, and anything that revolves around the enigmatic NBA coach.

When Brown was with Philadelphia, his feud with Philadelphia 76ers' No.3, Allen Iverson, was well documented throughout the coach's stint in Philly. They eventually learned how to co-exist and eventually made it to the 2001 NBA Finals where the Lakers beat them in five games.

Now, Larry Brown is in New York and found himself bashing another No.3 jersey. This time, it's the New York Knicks' No.3, Stephon Marbury.

Both Larry Brown and Stephon Marbury have different concepts on what brought the Knicks to a dismal showing this season. One of them is wrong and Brown is pretty sure it's not him.

''Look, I've been coaching how many years?'' said Larry Brown, whose Hall-of-Fame career spans three decades.

''I never left a team in worse shape than I got it. Not one. Now think about that. Think about me and think about the guy who's talking,'' he said, referring to Marbury.

After the irate head coach bashed Stephon, Starbury answered back by saying, ''If Coach is comparing his career to my career, he's got like a 20-year edge on me.''

''To me, that sounds like there's a lot of insecurities going on to me. As a man, I just look at it as we're supposed to be trying to get better, and we're concentrating on things that I'm doing and things that he's done. So to me, I don't understand that picture,'' Stephon added.

Stephon said he can continue playing for Larry Brown and the coach's confined offense but won't take Brown's tirades anymore.

The New York Knicks could be headed for the NBA lottery this year. Can they still make it to the playoffs and turn this season around? Bodog has the odds. Log on and visit Bodog now.
