Tar Heels, STILL a Force to be Reckon with

Ignored.

That's exactly what the North Carolina Tar Heels turned out to become this year.

However, last Saturday, they made sure that the rest of NCAA College Basketball remembered that they are STILL the defending NCAA Champions.

The North Carolina Tar Heels, ranked 15 as of press time, created quite a stir when they bashed the no.1 ranked team in the country today, the Duke Blue Devils, with an improbable 83-76 win in front of their adoring crowd.

What could've possibly energized these Tar Heels to come out strong against the Devils of one JJ Redick?

Their six-game winning streak perhaps?

Maybe the maturity Roy Williams saw from these Tar Heels?

Maybe they just plain hate those guys in royal blue that they vow to destroy anything that say, 'Blue Devils no.1.'

''I hope it isn't cockiness, but I told them that I thought we were the only team in the country that could come here and win this game. I believed that we could if we played,'' Williams said.

The Heels won not because they outplayed Duke, it's not because they shot the basketball better, it's all because of Duke being Duke and the Tar Heels plainly hating anything Blue Devils.
